Have you heard about the changes coming to Medicaid?
During the COVID pandemic, Medicaid temporarily suspended annual recertifications in a process called continuous enrollment. Now that the public emergency is ending, Medicaid will again be checking eligibility. Starting in April 2023 and going through July 2024, batches of letters are being sent out to beneficiaries each month explaining the redetermination process. Out of the 89 million currently on Medicaid nationally, it is predicted that 10 million will lose coverage.
